NHSE have supplied funding to HVCCG to develop a transformational project.  Following a CCG consultation with locality GPs, and a subsequent vote on proposed ideas, it was decided to fund an Integrated Urgent Treatment Service, with appointments delivered collaboratively through the already well defined locality hubs.

What is a ‘hub’ appointment?

GPs in the Watford and Three Rivers area have joined together to provide extended access to their patients. This is because your local GPs felt they could provide more and better services to patients if they worked together to try and share an increasingly limited pool of GPs and funding available. They are working together in ‘hubs’ of surgeries to deliver urgent on the day appointments. The table above shows the hubs of practices that are working together. You have been offered an appointment in the hub your practice is associated with.

Why is my appointment not at my registered surgery?

Your own GP has no more available appointments today. They do have access to the shared hub appointments though, and so you have been booked one of these.  Today, this appointment is at one of the other surgeries in your ‘hub’.  You can see relevant postcodes above to help you with finding that practice.

Will the doctor I see know be able to see my notes?
Yes! With your agreement, they will be able to access your full notes through a completely safe and completely confidential computer system, so can see and do everything your normal GP would be able to do.
